2021 Lexus NX 300h Luxury - Not Quite Goldilocks' Favorite

The 2021 Lexus NX 300h is updated by introducing some new features in its range to face the next course. To the current offer, two new trim levels are added that offer a more complete standard equipment. Next, we tell you all the details.

As pleasurable as it is to drive on a daily basis, the 2021 NX 300h leaves some things to be desired. Since its launch in 2014, the Lexus NX has exceeded all sales forecasts for the brand, positioning itself as one of the most important pillars of the range. Recall that the Japanese SUV mounts a hybrid system that combines a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with an electric one. However, it's a bit expensive for what you get and we can think of a handful of lower-priced competitors (e.g. Mazda CX-5, Kia Sorento) that offer more of everything.

On the one hand, the new Premium finish includes as standard tinted rear glass, 18-inch diameter two-tone wheels, specific F Sport bumpers and matte black exterior mirrors. Beyond the aesthetic level, this finish also presents a series of elements focused on comfort and safety such as the rear door with electric drive, Smart Entry system and parking sensors with ICS technology.

Inside, the new exclusive Tahara leather upholstery stands out. In addition, this finish offers an 8-speaker sound system and connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For its part, the Premium + equipment level adds the eFour traction system, fog lights with cornering function, a multimedia system with 10 speakers and a 10.3 "screen and a Premium Plus navigation system.

Lexus is committed to equipping its vehicles with the most advanced security systems available. For this reason, the entire NX range incorporates the second generation of the Lexus Safety System + that offers Pre-Collision Safety System (PCS) with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Interactive Lane Tracking Assist (LTC), Traffic Signal Recognition Traffic (RSA) and Adaptive Cruise Control.
