Based on the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser, the Lexus LX 570 is designed to go where few SUVs can. At the same time, it provides luxury and refinement on any pavement you walk on. As the flagship of the Lexus SUV lineup, the three-row LX 570 has an impeccably designed interior and many standard luxury features. Since 1996 three generations of the LX have been produced, all based largely on long-running SUVs. The LX name stands for "Luxury Crossover." However, some Lexus importers use the backronymic name, which means "Luxury Four Wheel Drive (4WD)". It is sold in Russia, Brunei, Australia, New Zealand, the Dominican Republic, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, the Middle East, and North America, where the related Toyota Land Cruiser is also sold. It is rarely available in Japan.

The LX 570 is offered in a single trim level with a host of high-end standard features. The third-row seat folds flat against the sides of the cargo compartment when not in use. It features 20-inch alloy wheels, an adaptive and height-adjustable suspension, automatic load leveling, automatic xenon-adapted headlights, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, a sunroof, running boards, a luggage rack, a power liftgate, a hitch tow.

Inside, the LX 570 comes with four-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, wood trim, heated power front seats, memory driver functions, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a power outlet. 120 volt home style in cargo hold.

The infotainment system uses the Lexus interface with a 12.3-inch screen, a navigation system, voice controls, the Lexus Enform suite of smartphone-based services, the Lexus Enform system, Bluetooth and audio, and a nine-speaker audio system with HD Radio and satellite radio, USB ports (front and second row), and a media player interface. The optional Luxury Package adds a refrigerated storage compartment between the front seats, heated second-row seats, heated steering wheel, extended wood trim, upgraded leather upholstery.

It also gets front and rear parking sensors, front and side parking cameras, adaptive cruise control, a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system, and a Mark Levinson 19-speaker surround sound audio system.

It has a 5.7-liter V8 engine with 383 horsepower and 403 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard, as is a full-time four-wheel-drive system with Hill Start Assist, Crawl Control, and a driver-selectable multi-terrain system. The “Drive Mode Select” system allows drivers to specify certain powertrain and suspension settings through a console-mounted dial. The LX can tow up to 7,000 pounds, and a trailer hitch is standard equipment.

The Interior of the LX 570 seduces with a luxury cabin in leather trimmed with wood. The front seats offer excellent visibility from their raised perches, with plenty of head and leg room. Heated and ventilated front seats are from the luxury package, and heated second-row seats are a good option for the LX. The third row is a disappointment, with minimal passenger space compounded by awkward mid-entry and exit. In a vehicle of the imposing dimensions of the LX 570, we think it's fair to expect a third row of seats that isn't just for kids. The 50/50-split third-row seating layout also has a negative impact on cargo capacity, as the two halves fold against the sidewalls rather than down into the floor. Behind the rear seats, the LX has just 9.1 cubic feet of cargo space, and when you fold the third row up against the sidewalls, then the second row down, that increases to 45 cubic feet.

It comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. It's tied to Lexus' remote touch interface, which uses a mouse controller like in the center console. The system has some difficulty using it as it can be difficult to select the proper commands with the controller. It adds a dual-screen rear entertainment system with two 11.6-inch screens, and a 19-speaker Mark Levinson sound system. Amazon Alexa compatibility is new for 2021, but if you're looking for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, or a Wi-Fi hotspot, you'll need a different vehicle.

It comes standard with anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control with trailer sway control, front active head restraints, front seat side airbags, front knee airbags, second-row side airbags and full-length side airbags. curtain. Also standard is the Lexus emergency system, with automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle location, and roadside assistance. Other safety features include a 360-degree camera system, lane departure alert, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, and collision mitigation with automatic emergency braking. The optional forward collision warning system takes action if a crash is deemed imminent, automatically tightening the front seat belts and priming the braking system for maximum responsiveness.

The V8 is powerful and audible under acceleration, but it sounds nice. Perhaps because of its weight, acceleration is slow, more so if one is familiar with the competition's models. Wind and road noise are kept under control. The LX isn't as quick as most of its rivals, as it's a bit heavy, but the same can be said for most vehicles in this class. But it's tough to crack, and smooth as a luxury cruiser over choppy waters without the slightest hint of a disturbance. It ignores potholes and rutted roads with ease. Between its sophisticated suspension, intelligently designed tracking control system and robust, Land Cruiser-based construction, this luxury SUV has the ability to take you virtually anywhere you may want to go. Going off road is where it shines the most. Forget dirt roads and all the weather conditions and obstacles you wouldn't find acceptable in most other vehicles. With its sophisticated suspension, intelligently designed crawl control system and rugged construction, this luxury SUV has the ability to take you just about anywhere you want to go.

In my opinion it is the best luxury SUV of the big ones. No matter its weight or acceleration, it's supremely reliable and comfortable.

Its segment competitors are the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, the BMW X5, the Audi Q7, the legendary Land Rover Range Rover, the Cadillac Escalade and the Infiniti QX80. The Lexus LX 570, unlike some full-size luxury SUVs, is based on the iconic Toyota Land Cruiser, with a strong history on its side, having arguably traveled the globe since the 1950s. It's heavy and hard at the same time, it doesn't have good acceleration, but it's really reliable, and that's what it's worth when you want a big SUV. It is a safe purchase, especially for a buyer who wants to keep it for more than 10 years, the LX 570 has no waste.
